So when I had the same problem after the LMS 8.1.1 was performed, the first thing I did was to perform the full squeezelite update again. But this time the problem remained. Rebooting, shutting down, unplugging the power supply and the USB external HD, restarting every time, re-performing the full update didn't solve the problem. So, while I'm waiting some direction from here, I performed a fresh install if pCP. This time the LMS 8.1.1 was automatically installed. Tried to play an ALAC song without success. But the full squeezelite update this time worked again. Fingers crossed, I don't need to do a fresh install every now and then! Thanks Paul for you help. All the best, Naass
