Just in case anyone else finds this thread whilst looking for a solution, I also hit this problem on my DS213+, I was previously running LMS 7.7.6-116. There seems to be two options one not available on older or PPC based NAS devices like mine:
Synology's update to Perl 5.28 breaks all the existing Logitech Media Server Packages. Solution 1 (This is a dead end going forward as relies on old Perl package): Sorry I have had to remove all links to the relevant posts and packages as this is my first post Follow the steps below (DSM 6.x) : - uninstall LMS - uninstall Perl 5.28.3 - install previous Perl 5.24 manually from packages: Synology archive - install LMS from: LMSUpdates on Sourceforge - disable auto-update for Perl Backup Advice: Using SSH: - backup : /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/prefs/ - restore folder after LMS install - this will bring back Favorites & skip the "Configuration" wizard to restore settings.
