For other soft players such as squeezelite - on non Windows LMS systems, you need to install PlayWMA plugin and ffmpeg to do transcoding.
If you need to install ffmpeg, then please check out the last paragraph of the Docker readme (https://hub.docker.com/repository/docker/lmscommunity/logitechmediaserver) regarding running a custom script at startup.
