Looking for confirmation that what I'm seeing is indeed how LMS scanner is supposed to read tags OR if it's how the Material theme is parsing the tags for its display.
I've been digitizing old vinyl and I've been typing in the Artist tag in mp3tag using a semicolon ; character (sometimes I "forget" and use the ; between all artists and sometimes just between artists and orchestra/conductor, so there's some variance in the overall formatting, but not in how the ; are treated). I noticed today that in LMS/Material when I look at the the Album with the More option, I don't see the Artist tag listed in a single "field" like this: Artist: Birgit Nilsson; Leonie Rysanek; Regina Resnik; Wolfgang Windgassen; Eberhard Wächter; Vienna - Karl Böhm, cond. What I see is like in this screenshot (Material theme): 34343 It appears that the LMS/Material skin does some parsing of its own (?) and, if a ; is there, separates items in the Artist tag by the semicolon. I can show multple examples of this. And I can see that using the LMS/Default theme that this separation by ; does not happen. Can I get someone to confirm with a quick test that they, too, see this behaviour? That is, edit the Artist tag of an album and add text with a ; in it (e.g., "; test" would do :-) and see how the Material skin shows it in the Material skin UI. If so, I'll contact the Material Theme author Craig Drummond (I'd "add" him to this post if I knew how to do that). If not, then I'm stumped about what can possibly be happening.
