I think the complaint is that Random is simply not random enough... I have thousands of tracks that I've never heard once on a random play list (in 15 years!), and a couple of hundred that come up all the time! It's not the end of the world, as I usually use Random for background music, rather than serious listening, but it did cause my (then new) girlfriend to think I had a serious Tom Waits collection!
