Slartibartfast and Michael, I appreciate the further info on the commits. Excuse my dimness, however, but I still don't understand what these are and where the files they relate to are (I'm using MacOS). That link seems to be referring to Slim-related files, which surely are ancient?
They have a long history, but still are being used. See: /Library/PreferencePanes/Squeezebox.prefPane/Contents/server/Slim/
And as you say, Michael, the poster there doesn't seem to be saying they do much.
