I had a very similar Issue some time ago - Difference at my side: I used Android with Material APK and both were connected via Wireless Network. I wasn't able to figure out what was (neither in the network protocol nor in the LMS settings) and only the Transporter was effected - non of the other squeezeplayers. The issue disappeared after I reset my router to factory defaults and setup every new - what indeed was hours of work! So I guess there was some messed-up with network configuration/ names / IP-Addresses.
