I'm a fan of using ethernet for the server. With all your players on WIFI *and* your server on WIFI, everything has to make two WIFI "hops". One hop from the router to the server and a second wifi hop from the router to player. With the server wired, you only have a single wifi hop to any player. And it is not just speed that is an issue with ethernet vs wifi. WIFI, even good speed, is subject to more potential interference than ethernet. In my own case, I wire everything that can be wired....servers, players, etc.
