Ok after a day of playing around with settings I went back to basics. Uninstalling LMS. Rebooting. Reloading LMS 8 nothing. Removed it rebooted. Put 7.9 back on. Rebooted and I can access LMS again.
Still none the wiser while it just stopped working. Might have a go with LMS 8 in a week or so.
