Ralphy, thanks so much for looking into this.
The good news is that your change did take effect, and client machine now initiates TCP Keep-Alive packets every 30 secs after last transmission from the server (frames 22775 and 23007 in Wireshark trace below). The bad news is that Linux TCP stack does not seem to care about that. My guess is that once Linux starts the TCP FIN timeout timer after FIN packet is sent out it does not reset it, even if Keep-Alive packet is received. 34931 +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: tcp_session_rst_02_v1389.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=34931| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ lngxa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71826 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114661 _______________________________________________ Squeezecenter mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
