Sorting by release year would be more than enough. In the case of sorting by _Year,_Artist,_Album LMS_currently_sorts_by_ Year ascending, Artist ascending, Album ascending (albums.year asc, albums.titlesort asc, albums.disc asc) _Custom_Browse_sorts_by _Year descending, Artist ascending, Album ascending (albums.year desc, albums.titlesort asc,albums.disc asc) So the difference is sorting on Year ascending or Year descending. It would be a more complicated I guess by having to take into account situations where there are multiple discs or there is no year.
