Today I released Logitech Media Server v8.2.0. This release comes with a
lot of improvements, not big new features. But many of them address long
standing pain points. Some of the highlights are:
- Improved podcast support (search, more robust playback)
- Improved online music integration (smarter matching of artists,
track stats support)
- Improved shuffling method to give more "balanced" results
- Add Balance setting for players which support it
- Improved robustness for online streams
- Add resampling for Ogg/Flac streams

Besides these bigger improvements there are a lot of bug fixes around
the playback of online streams and tracks, new platform support etc.
Many of the improvements in this release are the result of hard,
persistent work contributed by Philippe_44. He spent countless hours
investigating remote streaming issues caused in protocols or file format
parsing. Thank you very much, Philippe!
But I'd also like to thank all the other contributors: bpa, mw9,
philchillbill, JohanSaaw, tomscytale, clivem, CDrummond. And the many of
you in this forum who provide support for all kinds of issues. Many
