I checked the Docker LMS tag and I have “latest” in my Docker LMS
package. I think if I download and restart the package, as you tell me,
I will have 8.2, but do I have to do all the config process again ? or
this is not necessary

If correctly set up (mappings to folders outside the container to store the prefs etc) you should be good without re-configuring. If you're running Docker on a Synology NAS you'd:

- go to the Registry to re-download the image with the same tag
- stop the container
- pick the (confusingly named) "Reset" action from the button bar at the top of the Container section (don't ask me what this does, but it does NOT reset your settings, but is required)
- restart the container

As I am not very clever with Docker, I am afraid to break 8.1.1 that

No worries! I had no clue about it either before I started working on this image a few months back. And Synology doesn't really make it clearer, unfortunately.
