Simone: Re: changes to conver.conf: Instead of using faad, use the tool bound to "[alac]". What tool is that exactly? Is it the alac_decoder tool that, in the reply from Ralphy, he says is not used? If so, maybe we should review if a fork of faad is strictly necessary if we have a stand-alone converter available for ALAC format. Getting the ALAC code into faad became more difficult with the upstream rewrite of the mp4 parser.
