Hi, I have recently added a few classical albums to my collection. As I'm not a huge classical listener I don't bother to tag them under conductor, album artist, composer etc. I just tag them under artist.
So for example Symphony No. 5 is tagged as artist Beethoven, all other fields blank. Whilst not 100% correct this usually works fine for me. However I have a number of albums which now show up under Various Artists rather than Beethoven (for example). I've seen this in the past and have fixed this by using MP3 Tag to search the track meta data and found that some of the additional fields (composer etc) needed clearing. For the life of me, I can't seem to find any "rogue" fields - any pointers where to look? I've tried setting the meta data fields that I don't use to blank (in case there were some hidden characters etc) and a full re-scan etc but to no avail. Strangely, the problem albums show as Various Artists if I search under New Music, but if I search for Various Artists they are not listed.
