I was getting same issue after updating LMS to level you show. I am using piCorePlayer, I went to the LMS tag for a look around and decided to hit the "Update Libs" button (Download and update LMS Binaries and Libraries). After a reboot all is well again, artwork showing. Fair to say I don't understand what happens under the covers but seems to work. If you are using pCP may be of help.
