On Linux systems LMS relies on the OS to rotate the logs. If that's not enabled on your NAS, then this could be a problem.
Make sure you don't have excessive logging enabled, as this can quickly produce a lot of output to the log file. There's a switch to re-set log options to defaults in the Logging section. Make sure you check the box to keep the change on restart.
