(virtual DSM) which is like another NAS within your NAS. VDSM looks exactly same..(with exceptions) like your DSM but as it will be fresh there shouldn't be any conflicts.. You can basically use it as your test NAS.. You will still need to install and setup Docker on it as you trying now.. It will be separate storage so you won't have access to yuu. Music collection on main NAS (unless you share it as additional step) so its more for trying to learn and finding out what is going wrong with your current setup.
Just an idea.. Other then that if you tried everything on forum threads here and still without luck maybe get raspberry pi or something else for LMS.. I don't know man, it does work just fine on my DS218+ and for many others on here with Docker capable synology NAS boxes.
