Any reason for network to be down/restarted/overloaded ? is the LMS server OS windows ? I find Windows and/or 3rd party applicationa on Windows can do some odd intense network activity at "quiet" times. The issue is the LMS network connection has failed - since it works all the rest of the time - the problem is likely a system rather an LMS one. Check the system logs to see if anything is happening at 6:00am.
