Problem solved. When I noticed that LMS would detect my SqueezePlay or SqueezePad as clients, and it's only the Chromecasts that were not found, I dove into the Chromecast Bridge settings. And yes, that one did have a "Network binding and port" setting that allowed me to force my hardware network rather than virtual one that Chromecast Bridge was apparently guessing incorrectly.
