The scan finished and the year was still wrong! I went back to the mp3
files, opened one in a hex editor and found that the file contained the
wrong year (as well as a tag with the correct year). I think the tag
with the wrong year was an APE tag. I opened Mp3tag and enabled the
option to write APE tags. I then deleted all tags and added back the
correct ones. Rescanned using LMS and the correct date showed up!
Going forward I'll keep the Mp3tag option to write APE tags enabled so I
shouldn't run into this problem again but is there an option to turn off
LMS scanning of APE tags? Thanks for all the help.
