Thank you for the quick feedback! I've committed the necessary files to 8.3. The next build should come with all you need. Please let me know if that wasn't the case.
I'm not sure if you maintain the SPEC file for the Redhat build, but adding the line I suggested above might at least alert people as to the issue.
That's mostly been contributed by more knowledgeable people than I am in this area. I'm not sure we'd want to block installation if the Perl version was wrong, as it's easy enough to compile if needed.
