Do you have the Trackstat plugin loaded? I've noticed similar behaviour with my server which is running the latest container version of LMS on an Odroid N2 with Ubuntu. The symptoms are similar - LMS stops responding but I can ssh in to the server and see the squeezeboxserver running at 100%. It stays like this for about 10 minutes and then recovers. I happen to have some OS monitoring software running and noticed that it seems to happen at the same time, once every 24 hours.
