Im a beginner with Linux but I thought the same of Ubuntu. My answer is not relevant to you but might work for someone else searching the forums. For a Kodi user, Libreelec is an extremely lightweight option. Docker and even Docker-compose can be installed. MusicIP and LMS are running very well in containers. The distro runs like an appliance with root as the only user. For containers one can use nobody 65534/100. I use it purely for media and security is not a priority on this HTPC. Very low power hardware should be sufficient to run Libreelec. One has to google a bit to get it going but Ubuntu was not any easier for a beginner like me. I have not tried it long term yet but its the snappiest OS (its not really supposed to be an OS) Ive ever used. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ guptaas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21096 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115993
