I do not have any experience of running things on QNAP - but as a general rule ... for scanning issues check the LMS scanner.log plus, in all cases of something odd happening, check the LMS server.log. Both are available from the LMS Default web interface and you can increase the logging level of many different parts of the system via Settings/Advanced/Logging
