I was running LMS 8.2 (and have installed 8.3 in an attempt to fix the issue below, with no luck) ...
For years, I've had no problem running scans on my target folders but suddenly LMS is scanning not only my music folders but the entire C:\Windows folder structure as well. This happened just a few weeks ago and may be the results of Windows updates. Yes, my server is still running Win 8.1 but I have made no changes other than adding music and applying Windows updates. Scanning the music files proceeds as usual but once it starts on the C:\Windows directory, well, it just never ends. I can abort, and it retains the music-related info, but since it was aborted I cannot run a scan for just "New and changed files."
