In the preference panel, I see 'The server is starting' for around ten seconds, but it never changes to 'The server is running'. After those ten seconds, the message reverts to 'The server is stopped'.
When this happens, could you please check the Activitity monitor to see whether there's a perl task or slimserver.pl using 150-200MB?
