Hallo,

I´ve exactly the same issue since yesterday. I was running an 8.2
Version on RaspberryPi parallel to an Volumio distribution (feeding a
Hifiberry Amp...)
Anyway:
I suddenly noticed yesterday that the lists are empty. Something like
this happened from time to time and a manually triggered re-scan then
cured it ever again.
But not ths time. The scan for changed/new files ran for hours and at
the same time showed no progress. I then tried to cancel the scan -
without success. Even after a reboot, it seemed as if the scan continued
unchanged at the same point. I tried stopping the LMS service and trying
a complete rescan after restarting the service. This broke off at some
point. I finally switched to version 8.3.1 - with exactly the same
scanning behavior:
complete rescan breaks off at some point
Re-scanning for changed files stops somewhere (every time different!)
(display of the current title does not change!) but the clock continues
to run.
It is striking that I no longer see the typical small black squares to
visualize the progress in the scan progress.
I set the scanner's logging to info in the hope of finding out more -
unfortunately I can't read anything from it

I selected complete new scan. Scan is "frozen":
39085

After hitting "terminate scan:
39086

Nothing changed:
39084

Frozen scan still running (again) - see clock:
39087

Very frustrating

Volker
