I just download live shows and what are sold as 'import cd's', in FLAC form from DC (direct connect) P2P network using DC++. I'm sure it depends on each specific download as to whether or not the RIAA can do anything about it- but I only download shows and imports, never .mp3, .avi, .exe, .etc. On some of the 'lossless hubs' individuals share out 300 gigs of live shows in FLAC/SHN, so there's a LOT more than what's in the archive. Eg Flaming Lips don't allow taping, but allow trading of live shows. Fans go out and buy the 'imports' just to post them to the hub, so others aren't tempted to buy this material. There's a lot of free music out there :) -- Skunk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Skunk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2685 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=16459 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
