I know that with my Slimserver, I can use the remote control to log the
server through my network into various internet radio sites (Shoutcast,
Live365, etc) and can even save favorites. But I have to be at the
device and using the remote physically to do it.

I also know that I can use the Slimserver on my laptop computer and use
the link on the left side of the interface to log into Live365 and surf
stations that way.

My problem is, when I do that, the wireless radio light on my laptop is
blinking like crazy so I assume that the streaming is going from the
router to my notebook and then to the slimserver. If I turn off my
notebook, the stream stops.

So what I wanted to do was get the Slimserver to log into the
Squeezenetwork remotely without going through my laptop, so that the
music keeps playing even when my computer is later turned off. I can
get the Slimserver to log into Squeezenetwork with the link in the left
pane and it brings up the Squeezenetwork web page. It brings up my
favorites and Pandora access. No problem so far.
However, from the Squeezenetwork web page, there is no way to easily
access Live365 stations and surf them or search them. I can only access
them, or Shoutcast stations, or other internet radio, as far as I can
tell, if they are either already a favorite or I know the URL.

Is there anyway to remotely surf through my Live365 or Shoutcast
choices then get the Slimserver to play the station on Squeezenetwork
without being streamed through my laptop? Is there some trick to look
up the URL once I've figured out which station I want? Or is there
another, better way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

Hope this makes sense.
Chris
