Have tested out connections... and it is a bug. The only skin in Softsqueeze 3 which allows you to establish a connection to SqueezeNetwork is the old squeezebox skin.
You cannot establish a connection to SN by using the new SB3 or Transproter skins. If you try to do so it simply hangs and is unresponsive. However once connected to SN via the original skin you can change to either of the new skins (SB3 or Transporter) ... but then if you try to sign off from SN using these new skins it will hang.
