I'd been having the same problem since yesterday (well actually 3AM this morning). MY SB3 would display a "SqueezeNetwork is down for maintenance" message. I was also having problems connecting to the website.
One thing I did discover in my travels around the site was that with each new release of the SlimServer there is also an accompanying firmware upgrade for SB3 (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?PlayerFirmware). I just pointed my remote at the device, held down the "Brightness" button and [Presto], my device updates its firmware. Very cool. One little complication. The player said it was playing, but nothing was happening (and no progress bar). Once I went to the website and used the control panel to stop/start my feed, all was well.
