There is no workaround for that right now. The date and time rely on the server's internal clock. The language of the day of week also relies on that clock and the language setting of the server. There is no workaround for that right now. If you want this corrected go to http://bugs.slimdevices.com and search for an already existing bug for this problem. As this problem isn't new I'd be surprised if there wasn't one already. Vote for the existing bug or open a new one.
