Try firing up Windows Task Manager (right-click on the task bar at
the
bottom of your screen and select Task Manager). Select the
'Processes'
tab, click on Image Name to sort and look for Slimserver instances.
Select any you find and then click 'End Process' for each. Then try
andyg's command line suggestion.
You can should be able to tell whether your squeezebox connects to
Slimserver by holding left on the remote until you get to networking
setup and then see if you can connect to your local machine (as
opposed
to SqueezeNetwork).
Thanks, I did as you said with Windows Task Manager and came up with
this error:
*Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at
/PerlApp/Net/DNS/Resolver/Win32.pm line 46.
Loaded module: [Slim: :Utils: :PerlRunTime] ok!
2007-01-28 09:28:24.7112 ERROR: There is already another copy of the
SlimServer running on this machine. (Unknown error)
Sorry, should have mentioned this. Make sure SlimServer isn't
running as a service from the tray icon. Stop it from the tray icon
or use Task Manager to kill any other slim.exe process, before trying
this command line.
