Sources of burst of interferecne that can affect 802.11 include (not exhaustive) : Microwave ovens, cordless phones, Bluetooth, wireless video cameras, outdoor microwave links, wireless game controllers, Zigbee, fluorescent lights, burglar alarms and WiMAX. Even bad electrical connections can cause broad RF spectrum emissions.
