I like Pandora and I listen to it often (it never cuts out on me). It's what I listen to when Rhapsody is screwing up, but it fills a different function. I go to Pandora when I want background music or to get exposed to new music in a particular genre. I go to Rhapsody, or try to, when there's a specific artist, song or album I want to hear.
I like Rhapsody a lot but I'm not pursuaded by the argument that it's new technology and we should cut them a break. Rhapsody is delivering a SERVICE (enjoyment of music) not technology. If they haven't figured that out they are in trouble. If I don't think I'm getting my money's worth, I will cancel. It's as simple as that. New technology has got to deliver value in the real world or it's just a gimmick and novelty value wears off quickly. I like being able to easily find recordings that I have only heard about, or someone told me about, but if the song cuts off after a few minutes, where's the joy in that? Yes a few years ago you couldn't do any of this.
