It's free. Sometimes Odeo's XML doesn't work with Slimserver's XML parser. Not sure which is at fault. Letting us know what version of Slimserver you're using, what feed you're trying to connect to at Odeo, and what error message you're seeing will help us troubleshoot. With respect with it being easier to identify free vs. pay, I'm not sure what you Slim to do. A quick visit to any site will reveal whether or not it's free (on Odeo.com it's in HUGE TEXT on the front page of the site). And sometimes the answer isn't a simple "free" or "pay" as many services offer both free and pay levels of service.
