Hi, I'm sortof new around here so apologies if I've missed any existing documentation.
What I'd like to do is be able to set up an arbitrarily complex schedule to turn my squeezebox on and off playing specific internet radio stations. Like the existing "alarm" facility but with more options. And I'd like to do this without running a slimserver. It seems like the best way to do this involves writing a cron job or similar to automatically log in to the squeezenetwork and do the appropriate things to send the right commands to my local squeezebox. I've looked at this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?p=267322 and that looks like exactly what I need. Except it doesn't seem to work. All that happens, as far as I can tell, is the CLI echos all commands except 'version', which prints some version information, and 'can' which replies with "can 0" (which I don't understand at all ...). There's also a reference in that thread to a netcontrolxml interface, which also looks like it would suffice, but I can't find any information at all about the syntax or commands or what the actual argument values are. Can someone point me to a source of information? If there isn't any documentation, a pointer to source code would be good. In which case I'll write up (and share) some docs myself. Thanks for any help, and if there's a better way to be doing this, I'd love to hear about that too. -- art.m ------------------------------------------------------------------------ art.m's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15501 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43482 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
