After a day or so of dark screens and no connection to SqueezeNetwork
following the outage (see "Original Message" below), both devices
magically connected to SqueezeNetwork on their own, and displayed the
time (the display I had set before all this trouble). The Squeezebox
demanded a firmware update before it would play Pandora. It plays
Pandora now, but that's all it does. I cannot access Settings,
Rhapsody, Extras or anything else, even by going back and forth with
the arrow buttons after the firmware update. The Squeezebox just won't
go there. After the first time playing Pandora successfully, it won't
even go there properly. I can only press Play to continue the station I
was on in the last Pandora session. That, and display the time, are the
only things I can do with the box.

I haven't checked out the Transporter yet, beyond its clock display
finally working.

I figure I might as well just wait some more, and see if the devices'
"self-repair" continues. I'll keep you posted.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE: I connected wirelessly with both the Transporter and
Squeezebox before the outage. Now, neither device connects. Nothing on
the network at home has been changed. The other wired and wireless
devices in the home still connect. The Transporter and Squeezebox both
say "Connecting to SqueezeNetwork," then go completely dark. Both
connect just fine to Squeeze Center. Both are recognized by the network
map from the router (it says that the Transporter and Squeezebox are
properly connected wirelessly and online). All MAC addresses and IP
addresses check out.

Once they fail to connect to SqueezeNetwork and go dark, the only way
to make the display to come back from dark is to either power cycle
them, or hold Brightness to force a firmware upgrade download.

All network settings are correct. The devices also will connect to
Squeeze Center with wired Ethernet, but still not SqueezeNetwork, even
wired.
