AFAIK, that depends on the player.  To be specific, SqueezeCenter can
only register Squeezebox Receivers and Squeezebox Controllers.  Of
course, things change quickly around here so it's possible I'm
incorrect but as of the last discussion I had with the team, that's the
behavior.

As to the info I gave you, it was first-hand experience.  I couldn't
access Pandora via a brand-new SoftSqueeze install using the released
version of 7.0, despite having a valid (and well-used) SN account.  I
registered the PIN I rec'd when I tried to connect to SN and,
surprise!, I could run Pandora.

I rec'd the PIN when I tried to connect SoftSqueeze to SN for the first
time.  I'm not sure why it all worked, but it did... I'm listening right
now.
