Since you're on Linux, I'd strongly recommend something other than SoftSqueeze as your starting point, unless you really need to connect to SqueezeNetwork. SoftSqueeze isn't a generic player--it is highly specialized as it is a pure software emulation of a hardware device. As Radish pointed out, you might want to start with an open source media player more suited to your purpose. mplayer is a good beginning, in my opinion. You can find a Wikipedia article on it '*here*' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPlayer), including links to the sourceforge project. As an added bonus, it runs on Mac OS X and Windows as well as Linux. -=> Jim -- JimC "well, she wasn't all of that, but she sure was some of that." -- BKlaas' college buddy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JimC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9428 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=45941 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/squeezenetwork
