Ideally (from my selfish point of view!), I suggest you leave all the filtering to the service providers (as I understand it, you pass on the user's IP address as well as userid and password, so they have all the information required). In order to clear out unwanted/unusable services from the list, you could have check boxes on SqueezeNetwork settings which optionally hide services you don't want to see (e.g. premium services you don't subscribe to or are blocked).
