Sometimes maybe, but definitely not always - there were occasions where
it would just sit there trying to connect and ignore any keypresses (I
left it for >2 hours in one case, as I've had situations in the past
that have taken a minute or two to sort themselves out).

However even when it did cancel or time out, this didn't solve the
problem that once a receiver had tried to connect to SN, the only way
to recover it was a factory reset of the controller and receiver.
