Reposting what I put in bug 9003: New firmware due out in the next day or so should hopefully fix this bug.
My current theory is that this is the same thing you were seeing with WMA in bug 7492, but due to a bug in our error handling the MP3 decoder wasn't giving up properly when it ran into an error decrypting the Rhapsody data.
