Yeah the channel was on 6, i changed it to 11 but the same problem
happens. Do you think the inline filter (between phone socket and
phone) has anything to do with it?  The phone has been playing up for a
while, sometimes when I pick it up off the base it doesn't answer so I
may end up buying a new phone anyway.

I still don't understand why the router channel would have anything to
do with it considering that the Squeezebox is connected via ethernet.
