I upgraded the firmware as you suggested and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks much. I haven't tried using SC yet but if I get prompted about the firmware then I guess that the issue of firmware upgrades being out of sync between SN and SC hasn't been resolved. Anyway, thanks again.
