I find the ShoutCast feeds via WinAmp are a great way to find and sample streams. A simple cut & paste of the URL to your SC/SN tune in function works great (until ShoutCast or the station change their URL). It's very easy in WinAmp to sort by genre, bitrate, etc... to find the better quality feeds.
