I think part of the confusion comes in where adding a second player to SN is much simpler than the first player. When I added my second player all I did was connect it to SC and it automatically registered itself onto SN. Never asked me for a PIN or anything. It was just there. :) SC associates your players to SN for radio playback and subscriptions so I'm guessing it also registers (or bypasses registration) for additional players.
