Just to give an official update: There was a problem with a reconfiguration of our firewalls. We had intended to block a small handful of countries (none of which are in Europe) because of some legal requirements, but there was an error in the software which converted the IP network databases for the firewall's use, which resulted in blocking you guys accidentally :(
We're supposed to hear about things like this through the support channel when you guys call in, but apparently there may have been some communication breakdown in the users -> support -> me link. I didn't hear about this until many hours later when someone sent an email to our whois contact info, which isn't really the right route for reporting this either, but at least it got my attention.
