I am trying to figure out why I sometimes do not get the artist/title displayed on the Squeezebox Boom while it is connected through Squeezenetwork.
I have no issues with SqueezeCenter; that always displays everything. But at night I do not want to leave my computer on, so I would prefer to listen through Squeezenetwork while reading or whatever. I am wondering if this is problem with my internet connection or my wireless setup. Sometimes all I have to do is wait a few minutes and the information shows up on the display but sometimes it never does. Another weird thing is that there is sometimes a delay in the stream of an online radio station. I have only noticed this with Radio Paradise, in which the music playing on my Squeezebox is delayed from what is current playing (as listed on the Radio Paradise website). This only happened when I was accessing Radio Paradise through the Radio Time preset. Once I put in the URL for Radio Paradise so I could access it directly both problems went away. The artist/title information showed up again and the delay disappeared. So I am guessing that is was a problem with the preset I was using. There is still an issue with other stations, however. Some of the Sirius ones fail to show the artist/title sometimes but at other times the info is all there. And it usually returns if I simply wait. I am wondering if these issues are related to my internet connection. If that is true, there is probably little I can do to fix it but if it is a problem with my home network or the way I have the Squeezebox set up, then I might be able to fix it.
